We are delighted to announce the arrival of two new investment committee members, Ramon Eyck and Mark Burbach, who joined Freedom on 1st March.
Ramon Eyck, now based in the UK, has over 20 years of international investment experience, specializing in external manager selection, portfolio construction and risk management. He started his investment career in Australia with HSBC Asset Management and then Standard & Poor’s before moving to the UK, where he held portfolio management and head of research roles at Skandia Investment Group and Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Most recently, he spent 9 years as head of Emerging Markets equity at the ADIC, a major Sovereign Wealth Fund in Abu Dhabi.
Mark Burbach, based in Abu Dhabi, has more than 25 years of experience in managing institutional investment portfolios. He has been the Chief Investment Officer for several $bn+ pension funds over the last 15 years including Abu Dhabi Retirement Fund, Osool Asset Management in Bahrain and the Blue Sky Group in The Netherlands.
Ramon and Mark will advise Freedom on investment matters across the businesses and specifically will join the Investment Committee of the flagship Opus Global Freedom Fund.
